RESULTS OF MBOA HIP HOP AWARDS 2012
2011 is gone and now the long awaited Mboa Hip Hop Awards 2012 has done same way. Shows, displays, meetings, fashion, style and lot more made captivation at the one and only historical and partnership venue, the Semme Beach Hotel. Then comes the long awaited moment, that of the awards proper. Several nominees, few most prefered. None is a loser as everyone had something to offer. There just had to be a better winner among the many winners. This therefore, after heated supports and voted by their fans led us to realise the results as follows...
RNB ARTIST > DUC - Z
RAP ARTIST > BOUDOR
RAP ALBUM > SISSONGHO MC's
ALBUM FUSION > ONE ROCKY
REVELATION 2012 > BLACK LARUE
COMPILES 2012 > L'ENVERS DU DECOR "BELIEVE RECORDS"
MAXI/SINGLE/STREET ALBUM > DANIELLE EOG
LABEL HIP HOP > MUMAK
VIDEO WOMEN > RENISE WITH FEBRUARY 16TH
MALE VIDEO > MOUSTAPHA WITH RED ZONE
AWARD OF HONOUR > QUEEN ETEME
We give a big up to all or better winners, and to our winners, they could do better that that come 2013! Fin de Mboa Hip Hop Awards 2013...que gardes-tu 2013???
However, many frowns could be seen mostly on the faces of our Brothers and sisters of the English Cameroonian origin, who did not find the award to be genuine on their part. This could be explained in the surprise of NO AWARD for the big boy, JOVI!!! En tout cas, on reste toujours Camerounais....one and indivisible nation.

DENISE NAAFA, CHARLOTTE DIPANDA IN THE MAKING
![]() |
DENISE NAAFA COVER PHOTO |
Yes we all know that great girl Charlotte Dipanda-cool voice, nice melody, pretty smiles and all that. Started off like nothing but now she's just that great icon who brings lots of inspirations to many. Yes, really many are inspired by Charlotte. Denise Naafa Abanda is just one out of the many who admire her.
Denise Naafa is a young Cameroonian artist of 18 years who has put on the market a high quality album titled "My excitement" and made a splash in Cameroon and abroad.
It is from the age of 12 that this young prodigy in her spare time listened to music like Charlotte Dipanda and many other artists marked her childhood.
Student of computer engineering at the Cameroonian Panafrican institute, IAI, she joined the choir Choir of the IAI, which won several awards for "Best Choir Universities and Schools. "She quickly became one of the leading singers of the choir with her incomparable voice.
Her repertoire is very varied. She sings of love for her parents who have always surrounded her with lots of love and affection, contributing to the accomplishent as it is today. She sings the pride of her continent, Africa and declares loudly her pride in this unique people, warm and very hospitable. She sings the determination to succeed in life, whatever the obstacles and pitfalls.
It builds daily, all the emotions that animate in a style of its own, a mixture of soul, zouk, makossa and coupé-décallé.

Dre Kidd...the Zero who is Hero!!!
Born april 89, ZERO attended high school at CCAST Bambili, a prestigious government school in the North West Region of Cameroon where his whole dream of being an artist started as he met with -Ve X and Nastic who inspired him in writing his own songs. He however was Gangster orientated but later switch to doing commercial music. Being around music since primary school days as his dad always bought MJ's CDs for him because he noticed that Zero had that great passion for singing. He always did the accapella of any nice song he heard. Though a rapper now, his greater passion is production.
Back in high school he hooked up with Da pro and J kelly of Dark North with whom he did some joints and shows together while working with Rugg G of GreatScope Records. When he hooked up with his bestie Lung Richard in 2009 they set up D-Zone entertainment which was later changed to Kapliefde Inc and Today its RhyMeSiTy. Later they co-formed a clique: ''D 3''; Dre, Richie F and Young Time. They started a project which was never completed (but will be some day as some songs had already been produced). He had great passion for production that he had to do an internship at Scratch Recordz with DJ Pazzo who placed him on a line as a world class producer.
Currently he is working on a big project which will be done by November 2013. He always pushes lots of his projects for perfection. Dre has not kept aside his studies as he is doing his 3rd year undergraduate in medical laboratory sciences at National polytechnic Bamenda. He is working on a very big project, a Mix tape to Lunch his new label: RhyMeSiTy. Its will be a big one, but will not come out any time soon till he completes with the formal procedures. It is not another detox so it will be around sooner. Dre has a single word as his moto, ''Perfection''.
As for his song lots, he has hits like ''D-zone anthem'', ''Tribute'', ''Rock It'', ''Dthree Mix'', ''What's the difference'', ''La belle inconnu'' with Phenozen etc. Thes songs were on internet 2 years ago and helped build the status that Dre has today.

Supaval is one of the big names as far as Franco Records is concerned. This guy got it all - real talent and bring it back to us in his New Begining....Sometimes you cannot get it so well unless its from the horses mouth. Lets get it from Supaval....
'' Thanks a lot for the opportunity, I am grateful. I will just tell you a little bit about myself and my motivations.
I
have always loved music growing up and as I grew older, I realized I
actually had the talent to create music. It was just about finding the
right circumstances in which to flourish. I believe I have now found
that at Franco Records where there is a team willing to work with me in
order for us to make beautiful music together. We are at the start of a
wonderful project and I am really looking forward to the day when I can
turn the radio on and hear my song playing.

Concerning

across. I have a Facebook artist page, Supaval, and a Twitter account,
@supavall. Audiences can also listen to my songs and buy my music at
either reverbnation.com or myspace.com. There are some other websites
and music outlets I am currently considering, and I will put the word

Shifty B, that's how every one knows him. But his mom and dad will take Kimeng Boris. This guy has some real shit stored up in his brain and just needs a pen, paper and an M.I.C to make you feel his own kind of world. Rap is his stuff. He does it from Busta style to Eminem and then the Lil Wayne way. Shifty dropped it in his debut single of "SOS; Shifty Outta Sight". That track is breath taking and will never be outdated, mark my words!!! He still doing his thing in music but not letting go his bigger one of MCing. HOW TO SUCCEED WITH MUSIC IN CAMEROON
Many Cameroonians have that ambition in the music industry-to make it big. However this industry in Cameroon still faces alot of difficulties as succeeding in it is not as easy as elsewhere. Many problems are being faced by most Cameroonian artist especially when it comes to the phase of marketing their products. However this is unlike in the past where artists in Cameroon made it big in their careers. The reasons are evident,
First of all there is no very big ready market to consume most of the Cameroonian musics. Cameroon has a population of about 20 million people. This is so small compared to countries such as Nigeria. Added to that, the little market we have rather falls in for music coming from other countries as Nigeria, Ghana and the Western world and neglect or minimize their own home made musics.
Another aspect is the advent of mordern technology. This is what has brought about piracy and all of that. Now all one needs to do is get a CD and copy the files on his PC, he has a whole album which costs about 5000 frs.
But then, the issue now is not just identifying some of these plagues , but trying to see the solutions to our artists. Well as for me, I fell all we need to do is adapt if nothing can be changed.
To make it, use this method: Do a good hit track which you are very confident of. Do a video of it. Try to make it played on almost if not all the radio and TV stations you can ever think of. Once this track and video is good, you start getting famous. People start hearing about your song without even knowing you. The next thing is that they start wanting to know you. Once it has reached this level, begin organizing shows, accepting invitations to performances etc. Just very soon, you will have big performances through concerts organised by large firms as MTN, ORANGE, GUINNESS etc. Once this has happened, then know that you are a successful Cameroonian artist. Let's see some examples in Cameroon;
-X-Maleya
- Lady Ponce
- Jovi (Don for kwat)
- Charlotte Dipanda
- Adah (Nyango)
- Ice Eric
ETC
You realize that all of these artists have an album, yet it was only one track in that album which they saw to be a hit track and publicized it widely so much so that they are so famous today. This in a bit is how I feel Cameroonian artists should do in order to succeed in their career.

SHE'S RENISE AND SHE REIGNS
Yeah, pretty girl and awesome music. Renise is one of the few Cameroonian artists who has embrassed culture and gospel in a blend with mordern music. Renise, a girl from Mankon village in th e Nprth West Region of Cameroon works with MUMAK RECORDS in Yaounde and has come up with great songs such as the striking ''Hply Wata" thich will not let people set their eyes off their screens each time it comes up. Her humble, friendly and ever smiling nature has made her fans proud of her even out of her records. She has only begun, yet everyone falls for her style. Her dressing and chorography in music is just what has never been before. English, pidgin english; french and mankon dialect are her frequent languages of expression. This makes it a superb blend as everyone in Cameroon and beyond will get her message. Renise still has a long way to go and needs you support. Cameroon people, join hands and support our rising star and our future hope. Join renise on facebook and twitter at;

CAMEROONIAN R n B BOSS, FRANKY P IS BACK...

Franky P R'n'B nicknamed the Prince of K-Sea is an artist that needs no introduction in the Cameroonian music scene. His album "DAVODKA" is about to see the light and it is with delight that we discover the first pieces "Champagne Up" is one of them. The atmosphere was both professional and supportive party meetings and astounding. The final product is the result of an alchemy between passion and desire to push the Cameroonian hip hop artists further their ambitions.
Big up to clip shot entirely in HD camera, directed by Françoise Ellong sponsored by Patrick Ebongue! Continue efforts!
