AWARD ALERT: STANLEY ENOW MAKES HISTORY IN MTV AFRICA MUSIC AWARDS

This guy is just full of achievements. He got on the scene not long and he's already here? Damn! You may be wondering why am sounding this alarming but anyone who follows Cameroonian music would be alike.

Stanley Enow's debut rap song, "Hein Pere" hit over 450,000 youtube views, giving it that recognition by MTV Africa Music Awards so much that Stanley got a spot in the nominees as Best New Act for the 2014 MTV Africa Music Awards.
Mr. Stanley is running in against other guys as Nigeria's Burna Boy and Phyno and South Africa's Uhuru and Heavy K in the "Best New Act" category. The announcement was made in a star studded ceremony at Durban, South Africa yesterday. 

Like always, the Hein Pere dude wont stay without no word of appreciation. In his words, he said:
"I thank God for this blessing ...I do it for the youths... I do it for my country [Cameroon]."

They first released the audio of this track which comes in at a timely period when all Cameroonians are putting morals together in support of the Indomitable Lions, their national soccer team as it goes to Brazil for the 2014 FIFA world cup.

 Askia did it like super in her looks (as usual) and my boy Jay Milly was just so incredible in this one. I'm also loving the choreography with those boys killing it in dance steps. The team jersey just flooding the whole place and the ''vert-rouge-jaune'' in it shows that symbol of belonging and nationality. Big soccer names we all heard and saw, they featured in this one. We don't leave this blog withouth recognising the man behind.

Askia did it this time with Fluri Boy's Jay Milly who got his voice on the beats by Slim Beats. On her part, she did more of rap style though the song is generally in Afro beat. Big up to you two guys!

SAMUEL ETO'O QUITS THE INDOMITABLE LIONS

Samuel Eto'o as team captain

16 years, 114 appearances, 56 goals, team captain, Olympic goal medalist, team captain, 4 times African best player, all time highest goal scorer of the African Cup of Nations, 2 African Cup of nations, 1 LG Cup. That's what he accomplished over time.

Samuel Eto'o made his intentions to leave the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon on the 8th of September 2013 just a few minutes after their 1-0 victory over the Desert Knights of Libya in their group stage qualifiers for Brazil 2014 World Cup competition. This came shocking to his team mates and the Cameroonian people as a whole with much of their hopes for their qualification for and success at the World Cup rested on Eto'o.

Eto'o said he resigns for personal and family reasons. However, from commentaries and public opinions and observations, it is seen that Eto' has not been at his best lately. Earler in 2012. he threatened leaving the national team. In Sunday's match against Libya, Eto'o demanded that Carlos Kameni and Achille Webo be included in the starting line-up, but this was denied by head coach Volka Finke. Again he has had several conflicts within the team. These could possibly be contributions to his final resignation this year, 2013. However, his recent match against Togo was a great one where he left the pitch, scoring both goals in Cameroon's 2-0 victory over Togo. 

However, Eto'o still has his football career to pursue, with his signing in Chelsea FC. Also, just like Rigobert Song, we may one day see Eto'o on the administrative bench of the Indomitable Lions.
